Notices of the Week (31/12/2017)

 

  • This weekend we observe the Feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph - Year -2(B).
  • On behalf of the Parish Pastoral Council we thank our Youth for organizing the Christmas party for the children, decorating the church, crib inside the church, a star in the church compound and Carol singing and for the melodius singing at the midnight Mass. We also thank Mr. Mario Tribhuvan for the crib outside the church. Thanks to Mr. Joseph Lopes and all those who have been helping during this festive Christmas Season.
  • On 31st December: There will be a half an hour prayer service at 11.30 pm. followed by Mass at 12:00 A.M. midnight in the Church.
  • On 1st January 2018: New Year’s Day, Masses will be as on Sundays.
  • Last Sunday’s Collection amounted to : Rs. 6,473/-
  • Midnight CoIIection : Rs. 37,182/-
  • Christmas Day collection : Rs. 22 ,092/-

  • This week we celebrate the Fourth Sunday of Advent Year -2(B)
  • Carol Singing: I thank all our Youth and children for going around the Parish and giving the good news of Christmas to all of you. Thank you and the Lord bless you.
  • On 24th December ’17 Christmas Eve there is no evening Mass at 6.00.P.M. Mass at 8.30 p.m. inside the Church. Carol Singing will begin at 10.30 p.m. in the Church Compound followed by Mass at 11.00.p.m.
  • On 25th December 2017: The Nativity of our Lord Morning Masses as usual as on Sundays - 6.30 A.M. in Marathi 7.30 A.M. in Konkanni 8.30 A.M. and 9.30 A.M. in English. Kindly note there will be no Evening Mass on Christmas Day.
  • On 31st December: Masses as on Sundays and also on New Year’s Day 1st January 2018.
  • On 31st December: There will be a half an hour prayer service followed by Mass at 12:00 A.M. midnight in the Church.
  • Last Sunday's Collection amounted to Rs. 11,443/-

  • This weekend we observed the Thirty Second Sunday of the Year
  • Visitation of Mother Mary: In the month of November the statue of Mother Mary is visiting the homes of Rasta Peth Community. The community celebration of Rastapeth will be on 28th November in the Parish Hall. The statue of Mother Mary will be brought in the church in grand procession with band at 5.50 P.M. thereafter flag hosting followed by the Mass in the church.
  • Those who would like to sponsor the novenas are welcome. You are requested to reserve the day of your choice during the office hours. More than one sponsor will be accepted per novena. 
  • There will be a meeting of the Parish Council Members, all area leaders and those who have helped to organized area celebration on 13th November at 6:30 P.M. in the Parish Hall. All are requested to attend this meeting. The list of the leaders has been put up on the notice Board. 
  • Sneha Bhandhan Marriage Bureau is organizing open Melava on 18th Nov. 2017 in the Parish Hall 
  • Bible Diaries are for sale in the Parish House. Kindly contact Fr. Arun for the same.

  • Visitation of Mother Mary: In the month of November, the statue of Mother Mary will be visiting the homes of Rasta Peth community.
  • A big thanks the Marathi Speaking parishioners for organizing their second celebration on 31st October in the Parish Hall. 
  • We thank Mr. Jerry Pinto and volunteers for maintaining the cleanliness of the cemetery. Mr. Jerry worked very hard to complete the work. Thank you Mr Jerry!

  • 2nd Nov: All Souls Day - Morning Mass in the Church at 06.30 A.M. and 07.00 A.M. only. There will be no evening mass in the Church. 8.30 A.M. and 6.00 P.M. in the City Church Cemetery. Parking of the vehicles should be done in the City Church Compound. Blessing of the graves will be done after both the masses in the Cemetery. 
  • Those who wish to offer masses on All Soul's Day should offer by 31st October.

  • 8th December, we will be closing the year of the Jubilee celebration. Those who would like to suggest any programme or Liturgy during the novena days and the feast day, can kindly give your suggestion in writing to the Parish Priest. 
  • All organizations and the Parishioners are requested to send photos of their area celebrations for Souvenir which will be released on the Parish Feast day. 
  • You are invited for a double celebration i.e. the birthday of Bishop Thomas Dabre and commemoration of the rededication of St. Patrick’s Cathedral Church on Monday, 23rd October 2017. Bishop Thomas will be celebrating mass at 10:00 A.M. in St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Pune. Kindly keep the bishop in your prayers on 23rd October. 
  • World Mission Sunday on 22nd October 2017. Collections made at the Mass on Saturday 21st October and Sunday 22nd October will be sent for Mission work. 
  • Citizen Credit Co-operative bank is recruiting Trainee Junior clerks for Mumbai, Pune, Daman and Nasik Branches thus affording an opportunity to build a banking career for the Youth. For further details refer to the notice Board
